How Is Neck Lift Performed?
For your neck lift, one of two procedures may be performed — traditional surgical neck lift or FaceTite. Which procedure is chosen will depend on several factors, including the current state of your skin, you age, the elasticity of your skin, your desired results and more. While a surgical neck lift is considered the gold standard, there are many advantages to FaceTitle, including less downtime, reduced scarring, and more. Surgical neck lift: For neck lift surgery, general anesthesia is used. An incision is placed around your ears, and another one may be placed underneath your chin. If isolated areas of fat exist, a form of liposuction would be the first step in the surgical process. Following that, any sagging or hanging skin will be removed and the underlying tissue and remaining skin will be pulled tight. This method of skin tightening is performed until the desired contour, shape, and smoothness has been attained. Even though sutures are placed at the incision area, scars should not be seen since they were placed beneath your chin.
FaceTite: The FaceTite treatment for the neck is a minimally invasive procedure that uses radiofrequency energy to tighten loose skin and contour the neck area. During the procedure, a small probe is inserted beneath your skin, delivering controlled heat to the deeper layers of tissue, which stimulates collagen production and melts away excess fat. This process helps to tighten the skin and improve the overall appearance of the neck without the need for surgery. The treatment is typically performed under local anesthesia.
