How Is Submental Liposuction Performed?

Through these incisions, Dr. Mays inserts a thin tube called a cannula to gently break up and suction out excess fat. The procedure is typically done under local anesthesia or light sedation to ensure patient comfort. Once the fat is removed, the area is contoured to create a smoother, more defined jawline and neck. This minimally invasive procedure leaves minimal scarring and offers a quicker recovery compared to more extensive surgeries.
In some cases, we may suggest the use of FaceTite™. This is a minimally invasive procedure that can be used in certain cases of double chin removal. FaceTite uses radiofrequency energy to target and reduce fat while tightening the skin around the chin and neck.
