"Dr Mays and his staff are truly one of a kind and flat out AMAZING! The minute I had my first consult with him I knew I didn't need to look any further. I am 8 months post-op from lipo, breast reduction and tummy tuck. Unfortunately, I had a little setback from a large seroma several months ago that caused some elasticity problems. Dr Mays was confident my revision two weeks ago would yield the results I wanted. He was not wrong! I could not be more happy with my new look. Thank you for everything!"

"Best plastic surgeon, hands down! I am currently 4 weeks post-op from a Mommy Makeover and could not be happier with my results. I had been wanting to do this for years. I started by researching MDs in our area, and Dr. Mays’ results speak for themselves—just look at his before and after photos. As an RN myself, I am always extra mindful of the care I receive, and MPS is the best in the business! Sarah handled all the scheduling, costs, and financing options. She is quick to respond and was incredibly helpful in navigating the financial process. Dillrie, MA, was also great to work with. She assisted with the FMLA paperwork and coordinated with my employer to ensure I had the necessary time off. I also saw Dillrie for my complimentary IV hydration, which was life-changing post-op and boosted my energy immensely. Stacie, RN, made sure I was fully informed about everything I needed to know pre-operatively, and thanks to her, I felt completely prepared before my surgery. Lawanda, RN, was an amazing clinic nurse. Her calm and caring demeanor really put me at ease during my first post-op visit. Sherie provided the best lymphatic massage, and the Med Spa is absolutely gorgeous—I could have stayed there all day! I’m excited to go back and use all my Ava Rewards, which are an added bonus. After surgery, you collect rewards that can be redeemed for facials, massages, neurotoxins, fillers, and more. I also want to highlight my favorite staff member, Nicole, RN. She was my pre-op and PACU nurse, and her wealth of knowledge in every aspect of plastic surgery is truly impressive. She made both my husband and me feel calm and comfortable on the morning of the surgery and immediately afterward. Nicole also provided my husband with easy-to-follow instructions, making him the best caregiver at home. Dr. Mays is truly an artist. His bedside manner is unmatched, and his state-of-the-art facility, located in St. Matthews, is brand new. He will be my plastic surgeon for life. I highly recommend Mays Plastic Surgery! "From the moment I had my consultation with Dr. Mays I knew I was going to be in the best of hands and care. Let me start off by saying I had a horrible experience with a previous plastic surgeon so with that I was very nervous. I expressed my concerns with Dr. Mays about my previous experience and he immediately made me feel at ease. He listened to every concern I had and reassured me I would be in the best of care. Well he was not wrong. I had Dr.Mays remove my implants.. he gave me a lift with liposuction and I was worried about the removal and my breasts looking deformed. That’s not at all what I got my results are amazing and even better than when I had the implants. I am more than happy with my results. I knew going in to this they would not look like they did even before my implants and I was wrong they look even better than before I had the implants. His care did not stop there after my surgery I received a lymphatic massage and a skin wave facial. I literally felt like a little princess. Dr. Mays makes sure even after your surgery you are pampered to the hilt! Nichole and Kristy my nurses were above the best I’ve ever seen. I was scared and they never left my side. Upon awakening from surgery I opened my eyes and there they both were holding my hand and telling me you did great sweet girl it’s over. I cried I was so overwhelmed with the fact they meant what they said. We will be here and they were. Sheri who gave me the lymphatic massage was so caring, kind and that massage was absolutely amazing. She gave me tips on healing.. drink lots of cucumber water and eat fresh pineapple.. those Tips really helped my healing process. If I can give you any advice after your surgery get the lymphatic massages they help so much. I’m on my 3rd one and will get 3 more. Then I will do once a month because they are so good for your body. My facial was amazing as well. My skin feels so hydrated looks dewy and healthy. The facial helped me feel better about how my skin looked after the surgery. Dr. Mays absolutely knows how to make a woman feel beautiful after her surgery and during the healing process. I had my 3 week checkup today, as soon as Dr. Mays walked in I unexpectedly burst into tears May sound crazy but seeing him after knowing what he did for me during my surgery , after my surgery and the results he gave me. I was overwhelmed with happy emotion. I took his hand and thanked him then gave him the biggest hug. I feel amazing again, I look at myself in the mirror and I feel like a new woman. I would tell any woman thinking of any surgery to not look any further than Dr. Mays he truly is the best in his profession. He cares about your results and happiness. All of his staff are so welcoming, the nurses are so caring and kind. The spa side is absolutely beautiful and all the staff there are amazing as well. My recovery has been so easy due to all the aftercare you receive. It’s so nice to know after your surgery your Dr. still cares about your emotional well being, your healing journey and cares about you as a human not just a patient. "I am just blown away by this office. I’ve been considering breast reduction surgery for a long time. For some background, I’ve had disproportionately large breasts since adolescence, but my “last straw” was when they grew about 4 sizes AFTER I fractured my spine in multiple places from a horseback riding fall. The extra weight and resulting poor posture were making my now-chronic back pain worse and worse. I was looking for plastic surgeons online one night and came across Mays Plastic Surgery. They have all 5 star ratings across multiple reviews and platforms when no one else did. In a moment of bravery, I decided to fill out their consultation form on the website that night. From there, they called me, we set up a surgical consultation, and I went to that, not fully knowing what to expect. They eased my anxiety in every way the whole time I was there. The process was explained, they were happy to answer all of the many questions I had, and the bedside manner of all of the nurses and Dr. Mays himself was just wonderful. The pre-op appointment was even easier because they had already eased so many of my worries at the consultation. They never made me uncomfortable, even through the unavoidable exposure so that they could measure, plan, and take before pics. Surgery day was easier than I ever expected. Everyone was so kind and genuinely caring and excited for/with me. Fast forward and the days following the surgery, I’ve had virtually zero pain! I’m only 5 days post-op, but I couldn’t even wait to write a review because everything from this office has exceeded all expectations. Sherie is an exceptional massage therapist and I always enjoy our chats during my sessions. Her work has been crucial to my post-operative care. The facility is clean, beautiful, and all those on staff are so friendly. Dr. Mays has made me feel comfortable from consultation, to surgery, to now. I can’t recommend this place enough!"
"I had the best day at Mays!! I took my friend to get a breast reduction and I enjoyed a discount on the best massage I have ever had!! Sherie Bennett was my massage therapist! She was very Comforting and professional! She was very well seasoned, definitely knew what she was doing!!! I felt so great afterwards!!! After the massage I took a relaxing shower!! The lounge was filled with everything I needed! They had brushes you could recycle or in my case I took it with me to put in my gym bag! Deodorant, lotion and I was given a cup of lemon water with yummy nugget ice!! After my shower I relaxed in the waiting room and sipped on Nespresso and drank Fuji water while watching a movie!! Everyone there was so inviting and sweet especially John Michael Woodlee which is one of the receptionist! The atmosphere was amazing!! Everything was decorated so cute and with a very luxury aesthetic feel!! I will definitely be back!! 10 Stars!!!"
"I recently had an explant, brachioplasty & bra line back lift and I cannot speak highly enough of the experience. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism by the entire staff. They truly went above and beyond to ensure I felt comfortable and well-informed every step of the way. Dr. Mays is a remarkable surgeon. He took the time to listen to my concerns and thoroughly discuss my options, making sure I felt confident in my decision. The care and attention provided by Dr. mays and his team extended beyond the surgery itself. "So I was looking for a massage that could help with my lower back pain durning my pregnancy and came across the Mays plastic surgery page. What a gem! Sherie and the whole entire team were absolutely amazing. The new location is very modern and soothing, with touches of warm light throughout. The service I received was a 50minute prenatal massage and so worth every $$. Definitely will return I recommend this treatment for all the expecting mommas out there. You deserve it! The place is inviting and staff are professional and friendly which I believe is very important to feel welcomed every time I go for treatment. "Recently I was looking for a new spa to get back into the routine of massage/facials. I had a surgery with Dr. Mays last year and was extremely happy with my results, so when I found out they had added a med spa at the new location I thought I would give it a try. The space itself is so beautiful and well thought out, and everyone was friendly and helpful from the moment I walked in the door. First I had a massage with Sherie. She was so knowledgeable and made me feel at ease by asking my preferences and problem areas. I’ve been getting massages consistently for 10+ years, and I can honestly say it was the best massage I have ever had! You can tell she truly cares, and I left feeling more relaxed than I have in a long time. After I had my Skinwave facial with Aubrianna. She was so helpful in offering different product and service suggestions to help with my skincare concerns. I could immediately tell a difference in my skin. I left with glowing skin and knowledge of how to maintain my results at home. Overall everything surpassed my expectations, and I can’t wait for my next visit!"

"Dr. Mays did my Mommy Makeover. I wasn’t an easy case. I have Crohn’s disease and an emergency surgery left a horrible scar down the middle of my abdomen and muscles put back together unevenly. Add in four pregnancies, it was hard to look at. Dr. Mays made me feel secure and safe. I knew I was in the absolute best hands. My surgery went perfect. I had a muscle repair, tummy tuck, and breast lift. I am so happy with my results. His work was flawless. The staff was so supportive and helped with the entire process. "I have had two great experiences now with both Dr.Mays and Trina. I was a little timid to get tear trough filler and knew I wanted someone with great experience to do that. Dr. Mays was a perfect fit. Trina was my second visit and I am so glad I chose to visit her for my JTox. She was beyond amazing from start to finish. Easy to talk to, she gave me suggestions (which I love getting from the pros because I dont always know exactly what I want to do), and then educated me. "I'm officially 11days post op from my extended tummy tuck, brachioplasty and breast lift(without implants) and I have to say I am so impressed. First, shout out to the wonderful staff. My husband and I love Lawanda! She's the most helpful nurse ever, making the entire experience super easy and relaxed(even when I was a difficult patient with lots of questions.) The staff at River Ridge (current surgery center) are also wonderful and gave me my best surgery experience to date. They made the whole process seamless and calmed my nerves. Then, there was the surgery and results. Dr. Mays was great to work with from the very first meeting to the last appointment. And the results he gave me -5 stars!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I personally love my new breast. I couldn't believe it when I seen them the day after surgery. I had lost over 150 lbs prior to surgery and they were so sad and saggy. He restored their youth and perkiness!! I was shocked, I really had given up hope for them. My husband's favorite part was my tummy. He couldn't believe how good it looked. He himself(down 100lbs) is considering getting a tummy tuck from Mays after seeing my results. I had done several consultations with other PS in the area before choosing Mays. At the end of the day I couldn't be happier with my decision. Now I know why he calls the OR an art studio."
"I am SO GLAD I found Dr. Mays and his team! I had an implant revision a little over two weeks ago after I was not happy with my results from a different surgeon and I am already so happy with my results. Dr. Mays and his staff are so welcoming and friendly. The whole team was very involved in my decision making for my revision and were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Dr. Mays may be the most laid back and friendly doctor around! I never felt rushed and he really helped me decide what I needed to do to reach my goals. My post-op nurse LaWanda is the sweetest! "Great experience! The nurse injector, Trina, has been injecting me for some time now. She still always takes the time to assess me and address any concerns or questions I have at each appointment. I never feel rushed or like I am not being listened to. I recommend Trina to anyone who has an interest in injectables. "I had the best experience with Dr. Mays during my consultation. His staff is amazing and friendly and you can feel the “team” atmosphere as soon as enter. These people are here to help you achieve your goals. In my consultation I ended up having 2 options for treatment (one surgical and one not). Dr. Mays explained in detail what each entailed and left me with the choice of paths to take without an ounce of pressure to choose one over the other. I opted that day for the immediate, non surgical “liquid rhinoplasty” to gage what a surgery may look like in the future. He performed the procedure with expert knowledge and confidence, explaining each part as he was correcting. I knew prior to my appointment that this is a procedure that can be risky and should only be performed by trained professionals. His demeanor and vast knowledge put me at ease and made me feel confident in my choice. And I’m amazed at how great it looks and how much of a difference it made. I have received so many compliments AND people still don’t know I’ve had anything done. My husband hasn’t even questioned it but complimented me this very week. "I had a breast augmentation back in April with Dr. Mays & let me tell you; he is absolutely amazing! He went above & beyond my expectations! I loved my results from day 1, but they are even better now. I wanted a natural look and that’s exactly what I got. Best decision I could’ve made going to him for this surgery!! "Dr. Mays is an excellent surgeon. I had liposuction and thermal tightening of my double chin. My husband is a primary care nurse practitioner and attended all appointments with me, and he was very impressed with the professionalism and outcomes. Dr. Mays and his office did an excellent job explaining all parts of the procedure and setting expectations. I had this surgery because I work from home and video conference often. Despite weightloss, I could not reduce the fullness under my chin. This is the best money I've ever spent. For less than a cruise we had planned, I regained so much self esteem. I no longer feel like I have to pose awkwardly in pictures. Friends tell me I look younger and seem more vibrant. I'm so grateful only 3 weeks out."
"Highly recommend! Dr. Mays and his entire staff were amazing throughout everything. I interviewed 3 doctors and Dr. Mays & Calobrace far exceeded any other doctor or facility. From the first visit, Dr. Mays made me feel comfortable with him and my surgery goals. He was very realistic with me and my surgery goals and I couldn't be happier with my results. Having the "mommy makeover" was one of the best decisions in my life and I'm thankful to have had Dr. Mays & his team there with me. The financial manager helped me understand how to finance the whole procedure, the office staff always accommodated my need to come in for an appointment and were very courteous when I was there. The nursing staff....oh the nursing staff! So wonderful! You meet a lot with the nurses, before and definitely after. Each visit they made sure I understood what was to happen and/or made sure my issue was completely taken care of. Each nurse was beyond caring and I am so thankful! Dr. Mays & Calobrace were not the cheapest for the procedure, in fact they were the most expensive. However, the additional cost came with many perks - extremely detailed, personalized pre-surgery book (really helped me understand each part of the surgery, what to expect, and possible issues. My husband loved having this!), a 'dressing' bag full of supplies needed after the surgery (which they restocked for me as needed after the surgery), unlimited after care visits/follow-up (I had some fluid pooling and came in 1-2/week for months. I felt very monitored and cared for!), and post-surgery scar revision was included too! Other doctors/offices nickled & dimed everything. I highly recommend Dr. Mays!"
