How Does CoolPeel Work?
When you are scheduled for a deeper or more CoolPeel session, you may be given a topical retinoid for 2 – 3 weeks before your laser appointment. The retinoid helps prepare the skin for better results. Medication may be suggested prior to the procedure to help lessen discomfort so you can relax during your appointment. If your skin only needs mild improvement, a topical anesthesia may be used to numb treated areas of the face. Throughout the procedure, you can relax in our treatment chair while the laser passes over your skin, precisely targeting the specific areas for rejuvenation. The CO2 laser energy works to remove damaged and dead skin cells while also prompting new collagen production.
