A Morpheus8 treatment combines two cutting-edge clinically-proven technologies — microneedling and RF energy — into one safe and highly effective procedure. Together, these technologies trigger collagen and elastin production, tighten fibers, and reduce unwanted fat in problem areas. While ordinary microneedling can only target skin to a depth of 1.5 to 2 millimeters, Morpheus8 is custom-tailored to each patient’s needs by adjusting the treatment as required. This allows fat contouring at deeper depths while targeting superficial depths for skin rejuvenation.

During your treatment session at Mays Plastic Surgery & Med Spa, you'll begin by relaxing in a comfortable treatment chair while the target areas are cleaned. If you are concerned about discomfort, we can apply a topical anesthetic to help make your experience more enjoyable. The Morpheus8 handpiece will be passed along your skin a predetermined number of times. The microneedles will make small holes in the skin to stimulate the body's healing response while the warming RF energy is delivered deep into the skin to remodel skin layers, shrink fat cells, and boost collagen production. Depending on your treatment plan, sessions usually last about 30 – 90 minutes. Once you're done, you'll be able to return to your normal routine, but you may experience minor redness or swelling that typically goes away quickly. We recommend avoiding makeup for the first day after and strenuous activities for about a week. You should also protect your skin from the sun while outside with a head covering and sunscreen.
